wonderful breakfast with a very friendly staff. the western omelette is amazing. the freshest vegetables in an omelet I've had around here.

Went for Breakfast on a cool morning. My waitress Chloe was quick to bring a hot cup of coffee and took the rest of my order. Within 15 minutes I had perfectly over-easy eggs, creamy grits with a nice dab of butter on top, two slices of bacon crispy, and a biscuit that was grilled in butter! What a New Year’s Eve treat! Being wheelchair bound most service people ignore me. I was delighted to find Chloe didn’t do this at all. I had gotten a text from my son late in to my meal that he was coming over in a bit so I asked if he’d like anything. He let me know he’d wanted to try a waffle from Hawthorne Cafe. I ordered a strawberry waffle combo to go. He loved every bite: a Belgian waffle with fresh sliced macerated strawberries, scrambled eggs, and bacon!We will be back!

Great lil diner! Food is delicious and very reasonably priced!! Service is wonderful- friendly and fast for 1 person serving the restaurant- we loved it! Bacon is really salty but highly recommended the specialty cappuccino!!

Met up with an old friend this morning. Got there as they were opening. The young lady who waited on us was very friendly, and got our coffee to us and our orders placed in no time. Wait time was minimal, and she checked on us with each pass around the dining room. Excellent service! I got the everything omelet. It was delicious! My friend got the 2 egg breakfast. The fried potatoes were perfectly done, and we were full and happy. Only 20.01 for two FULL breakfasts, and free coffee refills.. This was our 2nd visit, and it's been perfect both times. Thank you, staff! Great job!

We had just got done riding bikes 16 miles in Lochloosa wildlife management area and decided to go here for lunch. I had the Philly cheesesteak and fries. The cheese steak was really good and the fries were homemade with some seasoning on them.

Breakfast was really great! I had eggs, bacon and biscuit & gravy. Zero complaints. Service was friendly and attentive. There was also a huge chalkboard to draw on while waiting for the food! Christian wall decor was a plus! I deft recommend anyone looking for a quick brunch to stop in and check this place out.

Passing through on my way to do a game in Gainesville for ESPN and stopped at the little joint to grab a bite to eat – – what an amazing spot fantastic waitresses. I had the Monte Cristo if you don’t get one you’re spending bad money.!! Excellent job to the staff and owners for a fantastic meal and good service! Thanks from a hungry happy Sports TV Cameraman
